City Lights - #33 AFI Most Inspirational Film

Charlie Chaplin's 'City Lights' was picked number 33 by American Film Institute as the most inspirational film. The program on Wednesday evening showed the 100 inspired films with 'It's a Wonderful Life' as number one. 'City Lights' was the oldest entry in the list...

I don't doubt for a minute that City Lights was named one of the most inspiring films ever made! It just never seems to age, does it? The final scene, where the flower girl realizes that this tatterd, fallen man is her benafactor is as moving as it gets!

I didn't see the part where 'City Lights' was named, but if they didn't mention any Chaplin film, I was ready to mention this scene as the one that should have been listed. Great scene and glad it was listed!
