The Charlie Chaplin Society of Japan is planning the
Kyoto Silent Film Festival for March 2007. The theme is
Chaplin and War. The showing of Chaplin's
Shoulder Arms is scheduled with music by
Kyoto Symphony Orchestra.
A special exhibit is also planned from the collection of author David Robinson, with set designs from
Modern Times,
Monsieur Verdoux and
The Great Dictator. For more information contact

Japan has an active group of fans for Charlie Chaplin. They had a great event last year, as well.
Also, like to thank the Japanese fans who have supported Edna over the years.
In Edna's day, she was very popular with college students from Japan. Some of her Japanese fan letters still exist in the collection.
They loved Edna and still do!
