"As you know Peter and Bill were great Chaplin fans and we have a fabulous collection of Chaplin memorabila in the Centre." - Phil Wickham
The Bill Douglas Centre has been working with Bryony Dixon, the silent film curator at BFI, with the 'Chaplinalia Exhibition' held this year at BFI Southbank. Part of the continued special program of Chaplin films being held into January 2009.
Chaplinalia - BDC material at BFI Southbank
"Material from the Bill Douglas Centre's vast collection of Charlie Chaplin memorabilia -including toys, games, comics, and postcards -is currently on display as part of the BFI's Chaplinalia exhibition.
The exhibition runs until the beginning of September and is on the mezzanine gallery at BFI Southbank. Also exhibited are items from other sources, such as Chaplin's original hat, cane and suit sported by the 'little tramp'." - The Bill Douglas Centre
