October 30, 2007 - Travel to the UK and Europe hit another high today, as the dollar hit a 26-year low against the pound. The figures mention in articles is not the price consumers pay, as the exchange rate is higher.
It does mean goods made in the UK and Europe are more expensive to purchase, while American goods appear to be cheaper, but they are getting higher in price as well. It does hurt the many bed and breakfasts in places like the UK for foreign visitors. more>
